Express Entry
Express Entry is an electronic system used to manage the applications of skilled workers who wish to become permanent residents of Canada. Express Entry manages three programs: the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) the Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
Under express entry, every interested candidate needs to submit their profile online. The profile gets added to the pool of eligible candidates and they are ranked in the Express Entry pool according to the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS).
The CRS is a points-based system used by the government to assess and rank. The CRS score is calculated based on a candidate’s age, education, work experience, language skills, as well as other factors.
Invitations are then sent to the candidates in rounds of invitation:
- General round
- Program Specific round
- Category Based round
